learn about the experience

Family sessions are a celebration of exactly who you are right now – the tiny hands that reach for yours, the inside jokes only your family gets, the way your kids giggle uncontrollably the moment you tell them to be serious. These moments are fleeting, and that’s precisely what makes them worth preserving. As your Connecticut Family Photographer, my job is to capture the love, the warmth, and yes, the beautiful chaos that makes your family uniquely yours. No stiff poses, no “say cheese”—just real, genuine connection captured in soft, timeless images you’ll display on your walls for decades.

Proudly serving families as a family photographer in Fairfield County, CT, and throughout Milford, Orange, West Hartford, Madison, Branford, Guilford, Avon, and Monroe, CT — I bring the same relaxed, full-service experience to every home, beach, and park we shoot in.

Whether you’re a family of three navigating toddler energy, a blended family of seven, or grandparents who want the whole crew together for the first time in years, this session is for you. My goal is simple: for every single person in that frame to feel comfortable, seen, and celebrated. I’ll handle the direction and the details; you just focus on being together.

Because the Chaos Is Worth Capturing

These moments cannot be recreated.
Whether you’re drawn to the golden light of Connecticut’s coastline at sunset, the lush greenery of a local park, or the intimate warmth of your own backyard, your family photography in Fairfield County will be designed entirely around your vision. I scout locations thoughtfully, arrive prepared, and direct your family gently—so by the time you leave, you’re already looking forward to seeing the gallery. The result? Images that feel like “us,” not like a stock photo.

As a mother myself, I know that getting a family together for photos can feel like an Olympic event. Kids won’t cooperate, someone always needs a snack, and the idea of everyone looking at the camera at the same time seems frankly impossible. I’ve built my entire approach around this reality. I keep things lighthearted, I redirect little ones with ease, and I know how to draw out genuine smiles—even from the most camera-shy dad in the group.

She made us feel so relaxed and natural during the whole shoot. My husband and I had a great time! We could not believe it was us when we got our photos back and are seriously obsessed with them all. She captured the most beautiful photos that we will cherish forever.

frequently asked questions

I always recommend shooting in the golden hour – the hour before sunset. The light is soft, warm, and incredibly flattering, and it adds a natural magic to every image. We’ll plan your session time based on the season and your chosen location.

When is the best time of day for a family session?

I’ll guide you through every detail during our session prep appointment. In general, I love coordinating outfits in soft, muted tones that complement rather than match. I have a styling guide to make the process easy and stress-free.

What should my family wear?

I shoot throughout Connecticut and love helping families find the perfect spot. Whether you’re looking for a family photographer in Milford, Orange, West Hartford, Madison, Branford, Guilford, Avon, or Monroe, CT — I’ll help you find a beautiful location that tells your family’s story.

Where do family sessions take place?

This is probably the question I get asked most, and I love it. Kids are unpredictable—that’s kind of the whole point. I keep sessions playful and pressure-free, and I have years of experience getting genuine smiles and laughter out of even the most reluctant little ones. Some of the best images come from the unscripted moments.
