Hi Mama,
So you are thinking of booking your newborn photography session? Smart move! Our sweet little babies will only be newborns for such a small period of time, and getting photos done within these first weeks in so crucial- before you know it they will be out of the newborn stage and will be talking up a storm (like my daughter currently! She just never stops!!) Getting pictures of those sweet little bundles is absolutely crucial.

Newborn Photography FAQS:
When can I book a newborn session?
For the best deal you can book as early as your first trimester? I have a bud & blossom collection that includes maternity & newborn collection. I recommend booking by the end of your first trimester if not before then just for availability sake as I only book a certain amount of newborns a month. However, if it is past this time and you are looking to book don’t hesitate to reach out as sometimes I might have more wiggle room in certain months!
When will we do our newborn photoshoot?
I typically recommend between weeks 1-2. This provides enough time for your newborn to relax their startle reflex, while still being in that sweet sleepy stage. Near the two week mark is also where I find first time parents start to hit their flow get to know their babies better, and mom is usually feeling a bit better. However, there are other circumstances such as babies in the NICU where we may wait a little bit longer.
What type of newborn photography do you offer?
I offer a lifestyle newborn session. Lifestyle newborn sessions take place within the comfort of your own home and will offer pictures of the nursery, and you and your family. These are more relaxed and candid.
How long will my session take?
I tell parents to allow for 2-3 hours however it can vary. I will take my time with your newborn to make sure that they are comfortable throughout the whole session, and will make it as easy as possible for everyone.
Do you have swaddles or headbands?
I have swaddles, hats, and headbands of various colors and sizes. We can talk closer to your session and pick these out before hand.
What should I wear?
I always recommend light and neutral clothing for all of my sessions as this tends to go best with my type of photography. As a client- you will have access to my client closet and I will typically schedule a styling consultation when you book so you can pick out your dress before baby is even here. However, newborns come when they want to and if this isn’t able to happen I can send pictures and bring your choices to your session to try on.

Things to make sure you have on hand!
-pacifier
-burp rags! (as you know- you can never have too many!) (I love these ones from amazon!)
-diapers/wipes
-if baby is bottle fed, a bottle just in case they get hungry!
