You’ll find classes on labor and delivery, new baby care, CPR and first aid, and feeding. You can also book 1:1 motherhood coaching so you have constant reassurance. The Parent Education Program is a service provided through the Connecticut Council of Family Service Agencies. The programs were started due to a piece of state legislation that mandated separating couples must participate in parent education. The courses last for six hours and take place all across the state. You’ll learn how to talk to your kids about separation, how to handle anger and conflict productively, and how you can listen to your child’s needs through this time. They’ll also teach you all about parenting plans as well as cooperative parenting.
